Story was written on and off in about 3-4 hours. Yes, I also make deals with kids. But really, it’s more like options they have. Explain to them, if you do A, you will get B. If you don’t do A, you will get C. Make sure they understand what those options are. So they might honestly forget to do A, then that means C has to be what they get. And make sure they understand, that’s what they chose. And have them understand we’ll try again tomorrow or next time.

How long did it take you to write the story? I love the stories. I do the same with Mia, using candy. But 90% of the time she would insist on eating the candy first and finish her meal. I usually agree but would make her live up to her promise. She usually does. She likes many things to have her way. My thinking is: sure but i will make a deal with you, and you have to keep your promise.
